Nashville Bound...

Sometimes you get to live the most amazing life and you are consciously aware of how lucky you are while you are actually living it. That is me, right now. My life is pretty fucking amazing right now and I find myself overwhelmed with gratitude and this feeling that all is unfolding in perfect timing...
I get to go see my BFF today in her new home. A move that took years to come to fruition and was not without a lot of hand wringing and consternation...but has arrived her at a new and exciting place in her life. And I get to show up today and be a part of that change. AND I get to go experience Nashville with her and just have FUN! And we all know how I feel about FUN! Yes, please! More, more, more! Again, still!
Despite all the good vibes today, life has been kind of weird lately. I haven’t been writing that much for a variety of reasons...
The book launch was a busy time and I was super overwhelmed with tasks and things to do...
The book launch really knocked me on my ass emotionally and I felt acutely vulnerable and needed to step away, retreat into myself for a little while until I felt safer to put myself out there again...
Letting go is hard in ways that I do not completely understand but must acknowledge...
I have felt like I have said so much in the book that I felt redundant saying anything else...
I am fucking tired because life has been wonderfully busy and exciting...
In short, life has needed me to do other things. And all of that would be well, but when my routine gets disrupted I feel somewhat adrift and rudderless. I do the things I do every day because they support me growing and being intentional about the way I live. Writing is an integral part of me living my life in a forward facing manner, with accountability, poise and grace (well, at least some of the time!) When I am not writing this blog, I am hiding. Hiding from you, hiding from myself, hiding truths that I would rather not reveal.
So I have taken a few days but the anxiety those few days of not writing and continuing to process my life and how I am living it has created a level of anxiety...so here I am back at it. Sorry, not sorry!
I am super grateful I get to mix up my life a little more today and go spend time with someone I love dearly in a place that promises great fun and excitement! And we all know how I feel about that!
Totally pro-excitement and fun!
So I will be winging it across the US today, happy to be on the move again, grateful to be spending time with Stacy in her new home that I can’t wait to explore! Life is such a funny thing, one day we are barely surviving it and the next, we feel like we are on top of the world...I guess that is why I keep going, there is always another valley and another peak. I guess the magic is knowing that no matter where you find yourself, it is going to change. It is going to get different. It is going to come back online or around, or whatever. Today is a day I get to soar, literally and figuratively. I am very grateful for my life and all its ups and downs. I have realized that it is the ups and the downs that make my life relatable to other people living their lives, and that is the basis for human connection. And most of the time, I really enjoy the fuck out of being connected to all of you...
And on those days I don’t, I try to just keep it to myself...with chaotic success admittedly.
Again, still...
